US-131: What remains of the old 44TH ST bridge over the freeway must be demolished, so this weekend US-131 will be closed at 44TH ST overnight Friday and Saturday. The closure runs from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. Because the ramps are also being reconstructed, all traffic will be routed off US-131 entirely, with NORTHBOUND traffic exiting at 54TH ST and SOUTHBOUND traffic exiting at 36TH ST. All traffic will be directed with signs onto DIVISION AVE. 44TH ST will also be closed Friday night 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. To keep drivers from jumping onto US-131 only to be forced off, the entrance ramps to SOUTHBOUND US-131 from 28TH ST and the entrance ramps to NORTHBOUND US-131 from 54TH ST will be closed overnight, too.
I-196: This weekend, the WESTBOUND ramps at the 32ND AVE/HUDSONVILLE exit will be closed from Friday night to around 7 a.m. Monday for patch work. Both the exit and the entrance ramps will be closed. There will be no good detour if you forget.I-196: Overnight pavement repairs will continue between Zeeland and Grandville until August 13. Expect lane closures 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. nightly.
I-96: If you have to roll to Lansing and back next week, you will get slowdowns going EASTBOUND over the Grand River just before EXIT 76. The right lane will be closed from Monday (8/10) at 8 a.m. through Thursday (8/13) at 3 p.m.KNAPP ST: Closed Saturday (8/8) between Dean Lake Avenue and Leffingwell Avenue. The water main work there will finally close the road for a day. Up until now, there have been flag crews.
