There's an unbelievable list of new construction notices for this weekend and next week, thanks to Recovery Act money:
Grand Rapids: The intersection of LEONARD ST and PLAINFIELD AVE is closed now until Wednesday (8/26) 7pm for work on the railroad tracks that diagonally bisect the junction.
Detour: use either LAFAYETTE AVE or MONROE AVE for north-south travel. On LEONARD ST, I just don't know what to tell you. Eastbound, you need to go north on MONROE AVE to SWEET ST, east to LAFAYETTE AVE, south to LEONARD ST. Westbound, do the reverse.
Grand Rapids: Robinson Rd CLOSED from Lakeside Dr to Woodward Lane for sewer repair on Tuesday (8/25).
Grandville: 28TH ST under I-196 will be reduced to one lane in each direction this weekend from Friday night (8/21) until 6am Monday (8/24). Expect the occasional clog.
I-196: The exit and entrance ramps at 32ND AVE on EASTBOUND I-196 will be closed from Friday night (8/21) until 6am Monday (8/24).
Detour: On EASTBOUND I-196, exit at M-6 EASTBOUND, exit at 8TH AVE, north to CHICAGO DR, west to 32ND AVE.
I-196: Overnight repaving continues next week between the 64TH AVE bridge and the Kent/Ottawa County line, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday (8/24-8/28).
I-196: Next week, the ramp from WESTBOUND I-196 to EASTBOUND M-6 will be closed overnight for repaving, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Wednesday through Thursday (8/26-8/27).
I-196: Next week, the ramp from WESTBOUND M-6 to EASTBOUND I-196 will be closed overnight for repaving, 7p.m. to 7 a.m. Thursday and Friday (8/27-8/28).
I-196: The EASTBOUND right lane of I-196 will be closed for guardrail repair on the bridges over VALLEY AVE and GARFIELD AVE, which is between the LAKE MICHIGAN DRIVE and LANE AVENUE exits. The lane closures will be Monday and Tuesday (8/24-8/25) 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
M-45/Lake Michigan Drive: The right lane of WESTBOUND LAKE MICHIGAN DRIVE will be closed for guardrail repair Wednesday and Thursday (8/26-8/27) on the bridge over the GRAND RIVER from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
